Your data, your control.
The Armchair Office collects the minimum data needed to do its job. We don't sell user data and we don't share personal info with marketing platforms. The site does show ads (Google AdSense) and uses Google Analytics - both are disclosed in full below. This page describes what actually happens.
What we read
- Your Sleeper username - typed in by you, used to look up your public Sleeper user record.
- Your public Sleeper data - leagues you're in, your rosters, trades, drafts, transactions, and league configurations. All of this is already public on sleeper.com; we read the same data the Sleeper app reads.
- Public fantasy data - player values, ADP, news. Our headline player values come from our own first-party engine (real Sleeper trades + trailing stats/ADP), cross-checked against public market data (FantasyCalc, DynastyProcess, KeepTradeCut, and the markets Dynasty Daddy aggregates). Weekly point projections and the NFL schedule come from Sleeper; news comes from ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, NBC, RotoBaller and RotoWire; historical draft and season data comes from nflverse. These services don't know who you are.
What we store
On your device (in your browser):
- localStorage: your Sleeper username, so you don't retype it each visit; UI preferences (sort order, filter selections, view state); players you've locked in the Trade Finder; and a short history of player values for the trend lines.
- IndexedDB: a snapshot of the leagues you last loaded, so a refresh reopens the page instantly instead of reloading everything. It expires after 12 hours and is discarded every time the site is updated.
This stays in your browser; clearing your browser's site data removes it.
On our infrastructure (Cloudflare):
- Aggregated blended player-value data (no Sleeper username attached to value rows).
- If you sign in (optional): your account id, which tier you are on, and the Sleeper username you chose to save. We never receive or store your password - sign-in is handled by Clerk, and your email address lives with them, not with us. UI preferences stay in your browser.
- If you use AI features: a count of how many you've used today, per account, to enforce the daily limit. The questions and roasts themselves are not stored.
- If paid plans open: your Stripe customer id and subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Standard edge logs (timestamps, IPs, paths) per Cloudflare defaults.
AI features
Two paid features use Anthropic's Claude through our backend. Ask TACO sends only the text of your question; your browser then answers it from the leagues it already holds, so no league data is sent. Trash Talk sends a short summary of one team (league name, record, standing, player names and ages). Neither sends your Sleeper username, email or account id to Anthropic.
What we don't do
- No sale of personal data to third parties.
- No combining your usage with data from other sites.
- No sharing your Sleeper username or league data with advertisers.
Advertising
The Armchair Office shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and collects usage data for ad personalization and measurement. See Google's advertising policy for details. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info.
Analytics
The main app (index.html) uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-ZTHR82NREM) to understand aggregate traffic - page views, general geography, and how people use the site. Google may set cookies and process data according to Google's privacy policy. You can opt out via Google's browser add-on or ad/analytics settings in your browser.
Standalone pages (About, Methodology, Terms, Privacy, Status) do not load GA4. They use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Armchair Office itself uses your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB (see "What we store") - our own code sets no tracking cookies. Third-party services we embed do set cookies: Google AdSense (advertising, see above) and Google Analytics (usage measurement, see above). Cloudflare may also set minimal cookies for security, bot protection and rate-limiting purposes.
